X-Ray is a visual summary of a Kindle e-book - a list of all characters, locations, and terms, and a map of locations within the book where they are mentioned. I created the original version for the Kindle E-Ink and evolved it over time to all other OX & devices where Kindle App is available.

CHALLENGE:
Create an awesome experience using developing technology on a device with unique parameters that restrict what can be implemented
SOLUTION:

Understand what can and cannot be done e-ink

Collaborate with engineers to verify design proposal and adjust functionality to fit within constrains of the device

Adopt best practices from other devices but adjust and simplify to make them work for E-Ink
