A seamless design approval process

A proofing process (a systematic review of designs by one or more stakeholders)  is a key part of design process, and Smartsheet makes it seamless for Adobe users by integrating the directly into Adobe apps  and enabling customers to participate in a proofing workflow (a process of making changes and getting sign-off for visual content) without leaving the Adobe apps. This feature was introduced at the 2020 Adobe conference nd received great reviews from the design community

My Role:

Collaborated with PM to define the problem and feature requirements

Researched Adobe UX patterns to ensure that component fits in seamlessly in the parent app

Created UX and and UI, conducted several rounds of iterations and reviews with Smartsheet and Adobe stakeholders

Worked with developers to ensure a pixel-perfect implementation

Impact

The design of the X-Ray strip, landing and detail pages was granted 12 patents and publications. 

UX concepts and patterns were adopted by Amazon Video team, who implemented XRay for Videos to display character and actor information for streaming shows.
